Refilling the Treatment tank

After 3 weeks of treating the fish for gill flukes in this half filled treatment tank, I can now finally fill it up all the way and let them “stretch their legs”. I have had it half filled, to save on the daily medication. There is not reason to treat 530 liters (140 gal) every day, when you can treat half of that and half the cost of the medication.

Even though they now have double the space that they have had the past 3 weeks, it is still a temporary tank, as their original home is being set up again from scratch, with better looking filtration. My previous filter setup utilised sewage pipes filled with bio filtermedia, to break ammonia and nitrites down. It worked really well, but besides slightly looking something from a Super Mario game, it was not really that good looking.
